This is why you need to keep going..

I’m the type of person who’s purposeful in prayer, whether it be thanking and/or asking from God. I pray as often as I can, I write letters to God and I have a prayer board in my bedroom. That’s because I believe in prayer, I believe that God takes the time out of His busy schedule to make time for me and this is why you need to keep going..

There’s always a lesson to be learned

I learned that there’s always a lesson in every hardship that I face, I talk about it here. And when I pray during tough times, I ask God what He’s trying to teach me from the situation. What is it that I need to take away from this harsh reality that’s hanging over me.

You’re allowed to be upset.

It’s absolutely normal to process hardships in your own way, you’re allowed to be upset. When I’m upset, I sit in it, if I’m in shock, I sit in it, if I need to cry, I’ll do that too . What I’ve recently found myself doing is work towards finding a solution to whatever problem I have and then processing everything after. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.

We need people

Talk to someone that you trust, never ever go through difficulties alone. We need people. I talk to my therapist who really helps me understand things that I may be overlooking. I talk to my husband for guidance and advise as well as a few people I trust. But it really helps to receive support at a time when things seem like they’re falling apart. You need people to encourage you, to relate their story to yours so you know you’re not alone.

Remember to give yourself grace and always celebrate how far you’ve come. We sometimes forget to pause because we’re so focused on getting to the finish line and getting there takes time but you have to pause, look back and then keep going.

Push through difficulties, push through negativity, push through gossip.

Don’t give up.

When your time finally comes, you’ll be in awe with what God can do.

  1. I love reading through this blog when I am facing adversity. One thing I have taken away from your blog is learning not to be envious of anyone else’s season, take notes and most of all, show support because that’s what I’d want them to do for me.

    1. It means so much to me that you take the time to read my blog. Thank you Lynn, what fills my heart even more is that you cary so much from the posts you’ve read. Thank you.
