Well, I’ve got a sweet treat for you.

Love and other words by Christina Lauren

This is by far my favorite book that I’ve read, elegant simplicity is the best way for me to describe it, it’s soul soothing.

Main Characters

Macy and Eliot

This story is told from a past to present timeline. Two childhood friends, Elliot and Macy undergo a heartwarming transformation from friends to lovers and then strangers to lovers. They grow up next-door to to each other and become best friends, united by their shared love for literature their connections strenghtens through their love love for books, creating a unique foundation for their bond.

They grow up they realize that they have feelings for each other but then something happens and they end up not talking for a decade. The prolonged separation raises questions about the once seemingly perfect friendship. What happened to them?

Elliot and Macy’s story unfolds with depth, inviting you to witness their personal growth and the blossoming of their relationship.

This book was beautifully written, it felt very lyrical and vivid. I could read it over and over again.

If a warm hug was a book, it would be this.

Time. I knew well enough that time numbed certain things- even death
