Quick and Easy Spinach quiche for breakfast

Spinach quiche has become one of my favorite breakfast dishes. It’s effortless, light, and bursting with flavor. What I love about it is how simple it is to prepare. If you want to impress family or friends, just serve it with a side salad or some fruit, and you’ve got a complete meal without spending hours in the kitchen. I’ve embraced convenience in cooking—it has to be quick and easy for me to want to make it. So, here’s my recipe for Quick and Easy Spinach Quiche for breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 1 Ready to make pie crust
  • 1/2 white onion diced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Egg filling:

  • 6 Large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/3 shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat your oven to 375F (190C)

Remove pie crust from the freezer and let it thaw. Alternatively, you can follow instructions on the packaging for quick thawing methods.

Cover the crust with aluminum foil, gently pressing it against the crust.

To weight down the crust and prevent it from rising, place the pie weights, dry beans, or rice on top of the foil-covered crust.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. This process is called blind baking and helps to partially cook the crust before adding the filling.

Once the crust is done baking, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly.

Peel and slice white onion into small thin slices. Heat the oil in a non-stick skillet or saucepan and add the sliced onions.

Cook the onions on medium for 15-20 minutes stirring for every 5 minutes until they brown. Keep a close eye on the onions to avoid burning.

Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside to cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, paprika, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese into the egg mixture.

Spread the cooked spinach and onion mixture evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.

Pour the egg filling over the spinach mixture in the pie crust. Use a fork to evenly spread out the mixture.

Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.

Once the quiche is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Enjoy your spinach quiche!
