Whether you prefer a gentle heat or a fiery kick, more honey or less, this recipe is an open canvas for your creativity.
- 1 Ripe Avocado
- 2 Slices of Sourdough bread
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for some heat)
- Honey (for a touch of sweetness)
Toast the sourdough bread slices until they are crispy and golden brown.
While the bread is toasting, cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.
Mash the avocado with a fork until you achieve your desired consistency. You can leave it slightly chunky or make it smooth, depending on your preference.
Season the mashed avocado with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Once the bread is toasted, spread the seasoned mashed avocado evenly onto each slide. Add some red pepper flakes if you want to add a bit of spice.
Finally, drizzle a bit of honey over the avocado toast. The honey will add a touch of sweetness that pairs beautifully with the creamy avocado and savory spices.
