Hello, I’m Shernice, and I proudly identify as a homemaker. This role has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, a trait passed down to me by my incredible grandmother. She possessed a remarkable skill in homemaking morning routine, raising eight children, and many of her grandchildren including myself.
One distinctive quality I observed in my grandmother was that everything she did was infused with love. Whether it was cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, babysitting, running errands, or hosting, every action felt like an expression of genuine care. Today, I can confidently say that I’ve inherited that same approach. I owe much of who I am as a person to her, and I am grateful for the valuable lessons in love and dedication she imparted to me.
As a homemaker, establishing a routine and carefully planning your day is not just beneficial but essential. The sense of accomplishment that comes from efficiently completing tasks on time is truly rewarding. It’s crucial to tailor your approach to what works best for you, considering your unique circumstances and preferences.
It’s worth noting that being a homemaker doesn’t preclude the possibility of working full time outside the home. Many individuals successfully balance both responsibilities, emphasizing that homemaking is not confined to a specific set of circumstances. The key is finding a harmonious balance that allows you to fulfill your professional commitments while maintaining a well-organized and fulfilling home life.
My morning routine
8:00 am – Wake Up
8:15 am- Help my husband get ready for work (pack breakfast, lunch & iron uniform)
8:00 am- 30 minute to an hour run
9:00 am- Take a shower
9:15 am- Breakfast ( I take my time eating breakfast in the morning, no rushing)
9:30 am- Bible study (this is my quiet time)
10:00 am- Work
What is your homemaking morning routine?
